Mevo in Wellington is free floating. The cars don't live in fixed bays. You pick one up wherever it is, and end your trip in any approved park inside the Mevo zone.

Where are the cars?

Open the Mevo app. The map shows every available car, and it's the only place that's always current.

Cars are spread across the central city and at Wellington Airport. We move them around as demand changes.

What is the Mevo zone?

The zone is the shaded area on the map in the app. It covers the central city from Thorndon to Te Aro, plus Wellington Airport.

You can drive anywhere during your trip. You just need to be back inside the zone to end it.

What will I be driving?

The Suzuki Swift, a compact five seat automatic that runs on petrol. Fuel, insurance and your end of trip parking are included.

How do I book?

Tap a car on the map to see where it is and what it costs, then tap Reserve. You can book for right now or weeks ahead.

Where can I end my trip?

  • Metered parks, coupon parks and P120 or longer parks inside the zone

  • The Mevo bays at Wellington Airport

Never in a bay painted or signposted for car share, including Zilch bays.

Can I use Mevo for the airport?

Yes. Mevo has its own bays at Wellington Airport, so you can leave the car there or collect one when you land.

A $20 airport fee applies to each trip that starts or ends at the airport.
