This warning light can come up in our VW Polo when the ignition is on but the engine hasn't turned over.
To resolve the issue please:
push the start button to turn the car off (please ensure the lights on the dash are off)
put your foot hard on the brake pedal and press and hold the start button until you can hear the engine turn over.
