Parking tickets and towing costs go to the member who parked the car.
The council sends the ticket to us as the registered owner. We match it to the trip and pass it on.
What will I pay?
The ticket itself
The administration fee in our fee schedule for processing it
Towing or recovery costs, if the car had to be moved
Why would a Mevo get a ticket?
Almost always because the trip ended somewhere that isn't approved. In Wellington, the easy ones to get wrong are:
A car share bay. Bays painted or signposted for car share, including Zilch bays, belong to other services, even when they're empty.
A park that changes later in the day, such as a metered park that becomes a clearway at 4pm, or a part time bus stop.
A short stay park, P60 or less.
A private or supermarket carpark.
I think the ticket is wrong. What do I do?
Start a chat in the app as soon as you hear from us. Send the photo you took of the car and the sign when you ended the trip, and tell us what happened.
If the park was an approved one, we'll take it up with the council.
Take a photo every time you end a trip
Show the car, the park and the nearest sign. It's the quickest way to settle a ticket.
What if I got the ticket during my trip?
Tickets you get while the car is on your trip, such as an unpaid parking building or a speed camera, are yours, the same as in your own car.
