Mevo does accept international/foreign driver licences according to <a href="https://www.nzta.govt.nz/driver-licences/new-residents-and-visitors/converting-to-nz-driver-licence/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">NZTA's list of exempt countries</a>, but it has a few extra requirements :

a NZTA verified Drivers License Translation

- a full drivers licence
- a NZTA verified Drivers License Translation
- International Drivers License 

You will not be able to sign up to Mevo if you do not have a valid licence or thee relevant documentation. Instead, you can apply once you have successfully converted your licence to a full, unrestricted New Zealand licence.<br>​
