While car sharing is an affordable alternative to private car ownership, we recognise the impact of inflation and the increased cost of living on everyone's lives.
Our team is working hard to bring you more affordable and high-quality vehicle choices on the Mevo network. However, this has been more difficult over recent years with the knock-on effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic on global vehicle supply. Because of this, we haven’t been able to get enough lower-cost models for our rapidly growing Mevo community. So, we’re making some changes from Friday 28th July 2023.
1. A lower hourly rate for the BYD Atto 3 at $22/hour
Until further notice, we are temporarily lowering the BYD Atto 3’s hourly rate from $25 to $22. The day (per 24 hours) and overnight prices will align with this, changing to $110 and $44 respectively.
This makes the BYD Atto 3 the same rate as the MG ZST so you won’t have to think twice about the price when choosing to travel by electric or petrol.
2. A lower excess km fee for all electric vehicles ($0.75 → $0.35)
To better reflect the lower costs for charging EVs on longer trips, we’re reducing the excess km charge from $0.75 to $0.35 for all EVs on the Mevo network. You’ll still have the standard 200km free per day included, but any extra distance will now be less than half the price in an EV (BYD Atto 3, Polestar 2, Tesla Model 3).
