Mevo follows the Ministry of Health's guidelines regarding preventative measures to help protect the safety and wellbeing of members who use our vehicles while operating under the COVID-19 Protection Framework.
Vaccine Pass Requirement
Between 15th December 2021 to 20th April 2022, all members driving Mevo vehicles must be fully vaccinated. This reduces the likelihood of airborne transmission of the virus within the vehicle cabin and keeps everyone using the vehicles safer.
You can upload a photo or screenshot of the New Zealand Government My Vaccine Pass in the Mevo app to verify your vaccination status automatically.
In line with the latest Ministry of Health guidelines, we are no longer requiring the use of My Vaccine Pass as a condition of using Mevo.
Auckland, Hamilton, and Wellington (cities where Mevo is operational) have all been lowered to the Orange Setting.
All three of these cities have passed their peak COVID-19 case numbers in the latest Omicron variant wave.
My Vaccine Pass for people that had early vaccinations eligibility is set to expire soon and we have not received clear indications on how these will be renewed.
Please continue to exercise good hygiene practices and refrain from using Mevo if you become ill or have a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19.
Be supplied with isopropyl alcohol wipes for cleaning surfaces, and a disposal envelope for the wipes. Members will take their disposal envelopes with them at the end of their trip.
Have all commonly-touched surfaces regularly wiped down with alcohol-based disinfectant, and be ventilated by opening the doors.
This is performed every time a vehicle is attended - not just at its scheduled cleaning interval. Timelines will vary per vehicle but between relocating, refuelling/charging, and regular cleaning, many available vehicles will be cleaned every day.
At periods other than green we suspend our participation in local events – so you won’t see our brand ambassadors at markets, events, and community gatherings.

We continuously monitor the situation and our team is available 24/7 to support public health authorities in their response. Working with them, we may temporarily suspend the accounts of members confirmed to have contracted or been exposed to COVID‑19. We will take any vehicle offline for extensive cleaning should we become aware that it has been exposed to persons who have been exposed to COVID-19.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions or feedback regarding the COVID-19 virus and our protocols.
